A lightweight, space-saving ABZ-type incremental encoder with half-hollow shaft configuration, supporting multiple shaft sizes: ~6mm (0.2in), ~8mm (0.3in), and ~10mm (0.4in). Housing combines aluminum and plastic for optimal strength-to-weight ratio. Operates reliably from DC5V to DC24V, drawing just 30mA — making it compatible with both logic-level microcontrollers and industrial PLC inputs. Maximum rotational speed is 6000rpm. Intended for use in precision positioning tasks within office automation devices, light industrial equipment, and laboratory-grade motion platforms. Avoid exposure to corrosive atmospheres, strong magnetic fields, excessive vibration, or ambient humidity above 85% RH. Installation must maintain minimal shaft misalignment; otherwise premature bearing wear occurs. Power cycling may cause transient pulse errors — allow 0.5 seconds after power-on before reading position data. Always ground the shield braid of the signal cable and insulate unused terminals to avoid internal circuit damage.
