Compact 13.56MHz RFID Reader WS1850S

Physical footprint: 48 mm length × 24 mm width × 8 mm height; lightweight ABS construction ensures durability without adding bulk. Operates at the globally standard 13.56 MHz HF band, supporting ISO14443A contactless smart cards only. Communication via I2C bus: configurable between fast mode (max 400 Kbit/s) and high-speed mode (max 3400 Kbit/s). Internal receiver buffer size is 64 bytes — sufficient for typical UID reads and small data blocks. Maximum read range is under 20 mm, requiring close-proximity card placement — ideal for secure, intentional interaction in access control or transport validation. Functional temperature range spans -20°C to +85°C. Data integrity maintained for up to 10 years. Designed for direct integration with microcontrollers using UIFlow (Python/Blockly), with two pre-drilled mounting holes for mechanical stability. Not a standalone device — requires host system for power, logic and antenna connection. Used across verified applications including smart home door locks, fleet vehicle ID verification, smart transport fare terminals and library book tracking systems — all relying on its consistent ISO14443A compliance and compact physical form factor.
