Collaborative Trick-Taking Space Game

The Crew: Quest for Planet Nine is a cooperative trick-taking board game for 2 to 5 players. Includes 60 mission cards, 50 skill cards (organised into five distinct suits), 18 astronaut tokens, and a bilingual (English/German) rulebook. Physical specs: 12.5 cm wide × 9 cm deep × 3.5 cm tall; net weight 380 g. Manufactured using FSC-certified paper and soy-based inks. Core gameplay challenges players to complete space missions by winning designated tricks — but only certain cards count toward success, and players must deduce intent from minimal legal signals. Encourages active listening, shared memory tracking, and consensus-building. Widely adopted in UK schools’ STEM enrichment programmes and EU adult education workshops for its structured yet playful approach to systems thinking.
