The DM556 is a digital stepper motor driver built around 32-bit DSP technology for controlling two-phase hybrid stepping motors. It operates on a DC input of 20 to 50 volts and provides an adjustable output current ranging from 1.0 to 5.6 amperes. 1. Made from plastic material and measuring 118 by 75.5 by 34 millimeters, the unit ships as a single packaged item. 2. Designed for NEMA 17, NEMA 23, and NEMA 34 motors with an outer diameter between 42 and 66 millimeters and a peak current below 4.2 amperes. 3. Incorporates circuit protection against overheating, overcurrent, overvoltage, and undervoltage while accepting universal control signals from 5 to 24 volts. 4. Used in small to medium automation instruments including engravers, marking machines, cutters, laser typesetters, plotters, and CNC machining centers.
