Brown Mesh Pot Cover 4PCS

Set of four brown mesh soil protectors, each approx. 20 cm diameter, crafted from durable yet pliable polypropylene mesh. The open lattice pattern delivers dual functionality: impeding weed emergence while enabling unrestricted water percolation. Designed for direct placement on top of potting compost, it accommodates standard pot diameters from 15 cm to 25 cm, including tapered, cylindrical and squared-edge designs. Material remains flexible across temperature ranges typical of UK homes and gardens — from unheated sheds to steamy bathrooms. Soil stays anchored during overhead watering, and surface evaporation is moderated without sealing — maintaining aerobic conditions essential for beneficial microbes. Drainage channels remain fully unobstructed, even when soil swells after rain, avoiding the clogging issues common with fabric or coconut coir mats. Deployed successfully in high-humidity indoor settings (e.g., bathroom ferns), exposed west-facing balconies (where wind-driven rain causes soil erosion), and heritage garden terracotta displays where aesthetics and function must align. Particularly effective for seedlings, cuttings and moisture-sensitive species such as lavender, rosemary and echeveria.
