Black Metal M42 EF Adapter

Compact, rigid M42-to-EF mount adapter made entirely from black anodised aluminium. Weight: ~85g; thickness: 12.5mm; inner thread: M42×1mm; outer mount: Canon EF bayonet with brass EF-mount coupling ring. Includes no glass, no electronics, no instruction sheet — just the adapter body. Enables use of M42-mount lenses (including manual-focus primes and zooms) on Canon EOS DSLRs and film SLRs. Because it lacks ROM or electronic contacts, lens aperture must be set manually before shooting; exposure modes limited to Manual (M) and Aperture Priority (Av). Autofocus and auto-diaphragm remain disabled — intentional design for predictable, repeatable manual operation. Validated with M42 lenses ranging from 28mm wide-angle to 200mm telephoto. Functions identically across EF-mount platforms: EOS 650 (1987), EOS 5D (2005), and EOS 80D (2016). Also mounts securely to EF-compatible macro rails and focusing helicoids.
