Bidirectional HDMI Switch Aluminum

Measuring 10.5 × 6.5 × 2.5 cm and weighing just 120 g, this HDMI switch features a lightweight yet rigid aluminum housing. It supports HDMI 2.0 standards with full 4K@60Hz, 3D, HDR, and 1080p video transmission alongside uncompressed audio formats including Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD. The device works entirely passively — no external power, no drivers, no setup — activated solely through HDMI cable connections and a mechanical button on top. Its bidirectional architecture enables two functional roles: first, as a 2-input/1-output switch for toggling between devices like laptops, game consoles (Xbox One, PS3), or media players on a single projector or TV; second, as a 1-input/2-output splitter for duplicating content across two screens — such as presentation + monitoring, or dual-monitor office work. In splitter mode, both displays receive identical output at the lowest shared resolution (e.g., 720p if one screen only supports HD Ready); it cannot upscale or convert resolutions independently. For reliable 4K performance, always use HDMI 2.0-compliant cables end-to-end. If using older cables, reduce source resolution to 1080p. When connecting to power-limited devices (e.g., streaming sticks), a USB power line may be required to trigger EDID communication and activate the display link.
