Beeswax-Coated Cotton Bread Bags

Set of two extra-large (17 x 12 inches), food-safe reusable bread bags made from 100% organic cotton fabric coated with a natural, hand-blended mixture of UK-sourced beeswax, cold-pressed jojoba oil, and sustainably harvested tree resin. The coating provides a soft-touch, slightly tacky surface that forms a passive seal when folded—ideal for containing aroma and moisture without trapping heat or steam. Fabric density and wax saturation are calibrated to deliver optimal drape, strength, and breathability for daily bread storage in temperate, humid climates. These bags support freshness retention through dual action: the beeswax repels ambient moisture (preventing external dampness from softening crusts), while microscopic pores allow internal CO₂ and excess humidity to diffuse—mimicking traditional linen-covered proofing baskets but with added protection from airborne particles and light. Suitable for sourdough, focaccia, soda bread, and enriched doughs alike. Designed for simplicity and longevity: no batteries, no parts, no replacements—just intuitive use, cold-water cleaning, and air drying. A practical tool for UK households aiming to lower plastic consumption without sacrificing convenience or bread quality.
