A dedicated dough-perforating tool with a 2.5 cm diameter stainless steel roller head embedded with fine, evenly spaced needles, attached to a 10 cm ergonomic wood handle. Total weight is approximately 85 g. All components are made from food-safe materials: 304-grade stainless steel for the roller and natural hardwood for the handle. Designed to pierce dough surfaces uniformly prior to baking — enabling steam venting, minimising air pockets, and improving bake consistency. Commonly used for tart bases, savoury pies, crackers, and laminated pastries where surface integrity and flatness are essential outcomes.
