Auto-Action Leather Craft Punch

An auto-action (spring-assisted) manual punch combining traditional craftsmanship with functional efficiency. Core structure comprises FSC-certified hardwood and heat-treated steel components. Six precision-machined tips provide exact hole sizing: 1.5 mm, 2 mm, 2.5 mm, 3 mm, 3.5 mm, and 4 mm — each manufactured to ±0.05 mm tolerance. Unit measures approximately 12 cm × 4 cm × 3 cm and weighs ~210 g, balancing responsiveness and stability. Designed exclusively for use with a soft support surface such as a self-healing cutting mat to avoid tip damage and ensure clean exit holes. To operate: mount selected tip using the central retaining screw, position vertically over material, press handle downward until resistance peaks, then release — internal spring returns handle smoothly. This action minimises user fatigue during extended sessions (e.g., punching 50+ belt holes). Suitable for leather up to 3.5 mm thick, dense card up to 5 layers, and flexible synthetics like TPU or silicone sheeting. Popular among UK leather apprentices, art college students, and small-run product designers seeking a bridge between basic awls and industrial CNC punchers — offering repeatability without complexity or cost.
