Set of 20 beige fermentation balls, each 2.00 x 1.80 x 1.60 cm (0.79 x 0.71 x 0.63 in), composed entirely of cereal flour and naturally occurring microbial cultures. No added enzymes, nutrients or alcohol-tolerance enhancers. Supports complete fermentation of 1–2 litre batches of glutinous rice, white rice, or soft fruits like peaches, pears and raspberries. Produces mildly effervescent, fragrant, lightly alcoholic beverages (typically 8–12% ABV) with characteristic honeyed, floral or fruity top notes. Shelf-stable for 12 months unopened in dry, dark storage.
