This USB-powered RTL2832U-based software-defined radio (SDR) receiver is specifically engineered for ADS-B and Mode-S aircraft signal reception at 1090 MHz. It measures approximately 7.5 cm in length, weighs 42 g, and features a compact metal housing in blue finish. The unit integrates a high-linearity RF amplifier (19 dB gain, 0.4 dB noise figure, OIP3 +39 dB), a precision TCXO oscillator (1–2 ppm stability), and a built-in 1090 MHz bandpass filter with 1075–1105 MHz passband. It supports full-frequency coverage from 0.1 MHz to 1.7 GHz and uses a native SMA-F connector — eliminating the need for lossy MCX adapters or external amplifiers. Designed for urban deployments where RF interference from cell towers or other transmitters is common, it delivers up to 20% greater reception range compared to non-filtered Pro Stick variants when filtering is beneficial.
