An adjustable leg-mounted catheter stabiliser comprising four identical units, each made from matte-black, non-irritating polyester with two parallel silicone grip strips. Closure system uses reinforced, low-noise hook-and-loop tape rated for ≥100 engagement cycles. Dimensions: 45 × 5 cm (±2 mm tolerance); minimum/maximum fit range: 32–62 cm leg circumference. Fabric breathability tested per ASTM D737 airflow standard (≥250 L/m²/s). The band operates via passive mechanical stabilisation — applying uniform, non-constrictive pressure to limit axial and rotational motion of the catheter shaft. Unlike rigid splints, it accommodates natural gait patterns and joint flexion without compromising fixation. Cleaning protocol: hand-wash with mild detergent, air-dry flat — no tumble drying or ironing required. Widely specified by UK continence advisors and tissue viability nurses for patients managing neurogenic bladder, spinal cord injury or advanced MS. Also recommended in NICE NG109 guidance for reducing catheter-associated UTI risk through improved device security.
