Adjustable 5.6A Stepper Driver DM556

Digital 2-phase stepper motor driver with DC 20–50 V input capability and 1.0–5.6 A output current, adjustable in eight fixed steps of 0.5 A each. Built using 32-bit digital control architecture. Designed for two-phase hybrid stepper motors with outer diameters of 42 mm, 57 mm, or 66 mm — suitable for NEMA 17, NEMA 23, and NEMA 34 frame sizes. Accepts 4-wire, 6-wire, and 8-wire motor connections. Standard single-pulse interface ensures compatibility with most motion controllers. Includes semi-automatic current locking to reduce power and heat during standstill. Housed in a semi-enclosed case for improved environmental tolerance. Equipped with high-speed optocoupler isolation and full protection suite: overheat, over-current, over-voltage, and under-voltage.
