ADF4351 RF Signal Source Board

This ADF4351-based development board delivers a wide output frequency range from 35 MHz to 4400 MHz (4.4 GHz). It generates a clean sine wave fundamental signal between 2200 MHz and 4400 MHz, and outputs a square wave fundamental (via internal frequency division) from 35 MHz to 2200 MHz. The RF output is provided via a standard SMA female connector. Control is implemented through a three-wire SPI interface, with dedicated control pins and a lock-detect pin enabled for full functional operation — including precise single-frequency output, linear frequency sweeps, and fast frequency hopping. Frequency step resolution reaches 1 kHz across most of the band, and as fine as 0.1 kHz at lower frequencies, dependent on the reference crystal used. The board accepts 3.3 V power input with a minimum supply current capability of 500 mA; a typical 5 V supply is also supported via compatible regulation.
