Active Speaker Foam Edge Replacement

A dedicated foam surround replacement part intended for active speakers with cone diameters of 4, 5, 6.5, 8 or 10 inches. Exact physical specs are provided per size: for instance, the 4-inch model measures 98 mm ±2 mm outer diameter, 64 mm inner diameter, 90 mm ±2 mm convex outer diameter and 72 mm convex diameter — all verified against common OEM speaker frames. The sponge foam composition delivers appropriate yielding under movement while retaining shape over time, crucial for accurate low-frequency reproduction. Installation begins with full removal of old surround material, followed by surface preparation, application of contact cement (not included), careful centre-alignment on the cone, and progressive compression around the edge using fingertip pressure. Final bonding may be reinforced with Elmer’s wood glue on the outer rim for added structural security.
