8CH Photoelectric Isolation Module

Available in 2-, 4-, and 8-channel versions, this photoelectric isolation module measures approximately 38×29 mm (1.5×1.14 in), 48×38 mm (1.89×1.5 in), or 84×38 mm (3.31×1.5 in) and features a durable plastic housing. It supports input signal voltages from 3.6 V to 24 V and provides isolated outputs ranging from 3.6 V to 30 V. Each channel delivers up to 10 mA drive current, with the product of voltage and current held constant — meaning higher output voltages result in proportionally lower available current. Each channel includes its own LED power indicator and supports jumper-cap configuration to assign terminals as input or output, offering hardware-level flexibility. Built around PC817 optocouplers, it ensures robust galvanic isolation and is designed for compatibility with common I²C signal layouts. The module enables safe interfacing between low-voltage digital systems (e.g., 3.3 V or 5 V microcontrollers) and higher-voltage industrial subsystems (e.g., 12 V sensors, 24 V PLC inputs, or 30 V actuator controls), preventing ground bounce, noise coupling, and voltage mismatch issues. It is commonly applied in robotics for motor driver isolation, in home and industrial automation for sensor-to-controller signal conditioning, and in automotive diagnostics for reading 12 V sensor data without risking the host MCU — all through certified photoelectric separation.
