80cm Light-Blocking Rainwater Cover

80 cm circular cover made from opaque, fine-weave polyester. Designed exclusively for rain barrel openings to prevent biological and physical contamination. Mesh aperture size is calibrated to exclude adult mosquitoes (Culex, Aedes), leaf fragments >0.5 mm, and airborne particulates. Blocks all ambient light to disrupt algal and bacterial colonisation inside stored water. Drawstring hem allows snug fit on barrels ranging from 60 cm to 75 cm top diameter. Washable and reusable — retains shape and tension after multiple seasons. Complies with UK RHS-recommended rainwater harvesting standards for domestic horticulture applications.
