8-Note Colour-Coded Wood Xylophone

This educational xylophone features eight aluminium tone bars mounted on a solid wooden frame, measuring approximately 24 cm in length, 12 cm in width and 8 cm in height, with a total weight of ~350 g. Each bar is individually colour-coded and positioned at incrementally greater heights to reflect rising pitch — forming a complete C major octave (C4–C5). The frame uses robust black fasteners and a stable slanted geometry to prevent tipping during enthusiastic play. Supplied with two mallets: hardwood shafts with soft rubber heads provide responsive articulation and protect bar surfaces. Suitable for individual exploration, small-group instruction, or whole-class participation in early years music programmes.
