6J1 Valve Preamp Headphone Amplifier DIY Kit with Transparent Shell

What’s in the Box This DIY kit brings together the 6J1 valve preamp board, the edge-style amplifier frame and a transparent shell, so you have everything needed to build a compact valve buffer stage for your headphone setup. The kit is supplied as separate parts for home assembly, letting you put together a working 6J1 preamp with a clear view of the internal components once finished. Audio Performance The preamp operates in 2.0 stereo mode, delivering a straightforward two-channel signal path that suits typical headphone amplifier builds. As a valve buffer stage, it is designed to sit between your source and amplifier, adding the characteristic warmth associated with 6J1 tubes while keeping the signal clean and uncoloured. Power Requirements The board runs on an AC 12V supply with a 1A current draw, using a 5.5 x 2.5mm male connector. This standard power input makes it easy to pair with a suitable AC adapter for your workbench or listening setup. Build Quality The transparent shell not only protects the finished build but also lets you admire the valve glow and internal layout once everything is wired up.
