65% RH Electromechanical Hygrostat

The MFR012 is an electromechanical hygrostat designed for automatic humidity management in electrical enclosures. It measures 67 x 50 x 38 mm and features a light grey UL94 V-0 plastic housing with IP20 protection. Mounting is via standard 35 mm DIN rail (EN 50022), compatible with any orientation. Operating temperature range is 0 °C to +60 °C; storage range is −20 °C to +80 °C. It triggers heater circuits when relative humidity surpasses 65%, with a fixed 4% switching differential (±3% tolerance). Contact configuration is change-over (SPDT), rated for 250 V AC / 5 A (resistive), 1 A (inductive), and 20 W DC. Minimum switching capacity is 20 V AC / 100 mA DC. Terminals support solid wire up to 2.5 mm² or ferruled stranded wire up to 1.5 mm², tightened to 0.5 Nm max torque. Used widely in UK and European industrial settings — including automation cabinets, railway signalling boxes, solar inverter enclosures and telecom street cabinets — to eliminate moisture-related faults such as oxidised terminals, arcing across PCBs and degraded insulation resistance caused by sustained high humidity.
