42 Inch Easy Setup Downwind Sail

This 42-inch (108 x 108 cm) downwind sail is crafted from UV-stabilised, flexible PVC with heat-welded seams and brass-insert grommets. At 1.2 kg, it balances performance and portability — folding neatly into a 30 x 20 x 5 cm package that fits standard kayak storage hatches or canoe dry boxes. The rear transparency window is integral to the sheet, not an overlay. Clips attach directly to deck bungees or D-rings — no tools, no rigging, no learning curve. Wind pressure pushes the vessel forward; releasing clip tension drops the sail flat onto the deck in one motion. UV filtering is permanent and uniform across the entire surface — no hotspots or unprotected zones. Designed for UK inland waterways, lochs, and sheltered coastal inlets — performs best with consistent tailwinds of 10–25 km/h. Compatible with sit-on-top and touring kayaks, open canoes, and high-volume inflatables with stable primary stability.
