40mm Baader-Compatible Solar Cap

A purpose-built solar filter cap using ISO-compliant 5.0-density film, sized to 40mm for optical clarity and fitted with a 50mm-diameter plastic frame for secure telescope attachment. Total mass is 13.0g. Compatible with Celestron P/A series, Datyson 5T0001/5T0002, Gazer LT70, and Fenghuang F70400M/F70300M models. The film provides neutral white solar imaging — avoiding misleading colour casts common in lower-grade filters. Before use, always perform the manufacturer’s two-stage safety check: first hold the cap up to sunlight to confirm zero light leakage; then, after mounting, observe through the eyepiece to ensure uniform attenuation and absence of bright spots. Never use if film shows any physical compromise — even microscopic damage can concentrate heat and compromise eye safety.
