4-Note Train Whistle Wood Set

Each whistle is precisely 18.8 cm long with square 3.4 cm cross-section. Crafted from sustainably sourced, kiln-dried hardwood — sanded to silky-smooth finish with no rough patches or uneven grain exposure. Khaki colour applied using water-based, non-toxic stain. Includes 2 matching pieces. The four-tone capability arises from intentional internal bore shaping — not gimmicks or hidden mechanisms — allowing children to discover tonal variation organically through experimentation. Sounds are loud enough to be heard outdoors yet mellow indoors, avoiding auditory overload common with cheap plastic equivalents. Widely adopted across UK childcare providers for its blend of nostalgia, developmental utility and compliance with BS EN71-1 safety standards (verified via third-party lab reports available upon request). Also favoured by eco-conscious families seeking chemical-free, plastic-free alternatives aligned with modern parenting values.
