3P PV Surge Protector 1000V

A dedicated DC surge protection device for photovoltaic applications, rated for 1000 VDC continuous operation with 20 kA nominal and 40 kA maximum discharge current. Housed in flame-retardant PC, it withstands mechanical impact, UV exposure, and chemical corrosion typical in outdoor solar environments. The internal protection mechanism combines overcurrent tripping and thermal cut-off to prevent cascade failures. When transient overvoltages occur — e.g., from indirect lightning — the SPD responds within nanoseconds to shunt surge energy to earth. Installation uses standard 35 mm DIN rail, allowing co-location with MCBs and RCBOs in UK-compliant distribution boards. Operating temperature range: -40°C to +80°C; humidity tolerance ≤90% RH (25°C avg); IP20-rated enclosure; clear green/red status indication confirms functional state.
