If the shower valve has a thermostatic cartridge, there will usually be two of these ceramic disk cartridges installed on either side of the cartridge; therefore, if you need both, you will need to purchase two, as the cartridges are sold individually. This cartridge is a 3/4" quarter turn on/off type with ceramic discs that turn anti-clockwise. (Cold Side - Clockwise Close) This CD valve cartridge has a threaded collar.
