This 3-channel RGB DMX512 decoder combines industrial-grade construction with practical lighting control functionality. Its housing is made from iron, and internal circuitry is mounted on a PCB, resulting in a unit weighing approximately 346 g (12.2 oz). Operating temperature spans from -20°C to 60°C, supporting use in varied indoor environments including climate-controlled hotels and ambient-temperature bars. Input voltage range is 12V to 24V DC, with each of the three output channels capable of delivering up to 8A — yielding total output capacities of 288W (at 12V) or 576W (at 24V). The embedded microcontroller interprets DMX512 signals and generates proportional PWM outputs for consistent brightness and colour control. Address selection uses a 9-bit binary switch system (DIP positions 1–9), enabling configuration of any starting address from 1 to 511; each unit reserves 4 consecutive DMX slots. Music mode is accessible by toggling switches 8 and 9, with sensitivity controlled by switches 1–7 — providing immediate, hardware-based audio responsiveness. Its portable form factor and plug-and-play design suit residential, hospitality and commercial applications alike.
