Description

1.4. The VL53L0X is a compact module, but its LGA lead housing makes it challenging for hobbyists. It operates at a recommended voltage of 2.8V, which can complicate connections with microcontrollers running at 3.3V or 5V. The breakout board addresses these issues, simplifies handling the sensor, and maintains a minimal overall size. 2. The VL53L0X utilizes ST's FlightSense technology to precisely measure the time taken for infrared light pulses to travel to the nearest object and reflect back to a detector, making it a standalone lidar system. 3.3. Measurements are accessible via the I2C (TWI) interface, which is also used to configure sensor parameters. The sensor includes additional pins: a shutdown input and an interrupt output. 4.1. The VL53L0X is an integrated timeofflight ranging system. This board serves as a support for the VL53L0X, so we recommend thoroughly reviewing the VL53L0X datasheet (1MB pdf).
