2m TOF Laser Distance Sensor Board

A pre-assembled breakout board for the VL53L0X time-of-flight laser distance sensor. Measures absolute distance from 0 to 2 metres (6.6 ft) with 1 mm resolution using infrared laser pulses and precise time-of-flight calculation. Dimensions: 10.5 mm × 4.5 mm × 2.2 mm; lightweight construction suited for space-constrained designs. Core sensing element combines a vertical-cavity surface-emitting laser (VCSEL) and high-sensitivity SPAD array. All communication and configuration occur via I²C (TWI), with optional use of stop and interrupt pins for advanced timing control. Accuracy varies between ±3% and >±10%, depending on ambient light, target size, and surface reflectance. Targeted at electronics educators, STEM learners, and embedded developers building proximity-aware devices without complex optics or calibration workflows.
