A 2-litre metal expansion tank built specifically for integration with domestic self-priming water pumps. The internal bladder expands and contracts in response to system pressure changes, acting as a mechanical spring that absorbs excess energy. This action prevents pressure spikes from reaching the pump head and avoids damaging water hammer effects at valves and fixtures. Over time, this contributes to reduced wear on pump seals, bearings, and impeller shafts. When combined with a pressure switch, the tank transforms a basic pump into a responsive constant-pressure system.
