2A 4.2V Step Down Converter 8-36V

A dedicated fixed-output DC-DC buck converter designed to generate 4.2V at up to 2A from any DC source between 8V and 36V. Physical dimensions: 29mm × 20mm × 12mm; weight ~15g; terminals accept 0.5–1.5mm² wire. Uses industrial-grade magnetics and low-ESR electrolytic and ceramic capacitors for stable transient response and low output ripple. The module operates with typical efficiency between 85–90% depending on input voltage and load — significantly more efficient than linear regulators dropping 12V or 24V to 4.2V, which would dissipate over 7W or 16W as heat at 2A. Ideal for powering 4.2V microcontroller peripherals, sensor arrays, USB-native devices, or custom PCBs in vehicles, automation equipment, and engineering education labs — wherever precision voltage matching and thermal efficiency matter more than cost-driven compromises.
