20cm Even-Heat Stainless Diffuser

A 20 cm round heat diffuser made entirely from food-grade stainless steel, with a permanently attached handle for safe manipulation. Designed and tested for UK domestic stoves — including SMEG, Bosch, Hotpoint, and Indesit models — ensuring fit and function across mainstream appliance ranges. Thickness: 2.5 mm. Diameter: 20 cm. Weight: approx. 380 g. Compatible with all heat sources: open gas flame, electric coil, ceramic glass, and induction plates. Its purpose is twofold: first, to allow non-induction cookware (e.g., aluminium, copper, or 18/0 stainless steel pans) to be used safely on induction hobs; second, to deliver smoother, more predictable heating on any stove type — especially where burner size mismatches pan base or where older appliances lack fine temperature control. Used successfully in scenarios such as reviving chilled hollandaise without breaking, reheating rice pudding without crust formation, and gently poaching eggs in shallow water — all benefiting from steady, edge-to-edge heat distribution and elimination of abrupt temperature jumps.
