20A Metal-Bodied Boost Module

A heavy-duty, metal-housed DC-DC boost converter designed for demanding 12–80V output applications. Input range is 8–60V DC, supporting versatile integration into automotive, marine, off-grid, and industrial power systems. Maximum output current is 20A, with continuous adjustability across the full 12–80V range. Output power scales with input voltage: 240W at 12V input, rising to 1200W at 60V input. Operating frequency is 150kHz; quiescent current remains low at 15mA (measured at 12–20V input). Ambient operating temperature spans –40°C to +85°C — users are advised to improve airflow or add heatsinking when sustaining >15A or operating under high voltage differential (e.g., 12V→80V). Mounting is via four 3mm screws; connections use secure solderless terminals. Includes overcurrent protection (adjustable limit, automatic current foldback to ≥5A), short-circuit protection (20A input fuse + internal logic), and output backflow prevention — no external diode needed for charging configurations. Reverse polarity protection is not integrated; external diode recommended if required. Parallel operation of two units enables higher aggregate current delivery (e.g., ~30A), with per-unit current limit configurable to 15A.
