Pressure force 140N ensures that the lid of the garden box stays up and opens almost automatically. After a few years, temperature fluctuations and weather conditions, the original gas struts lose their strength, so it may be necessary and sensible to replace them with new ones. We always recommend replacing both gas struts at the same time so that the lid is always evenly loaded and there is no tension on the flap.
