1600W PWM & UART BLDC Controller

This bare PCB BLDC motor controller delivers up to 1600W power using a 6–80V DC supply, with 20A continuous and 50A peak current capability. Based on the SNR8503M sensorless driver IC, it supports three-phase BLDC motors without Hall sensors. Control is supported via dual independent paths: analog PWM (0.5–5V, 1–20 kHz, 10–100% duty) and UART serial interface (configurable baud rate, ASCII command set). Rotation direction is selected by hardware: open circuit for clockwise, grounded for counterclockwise. Onboard LEDs display operational status, and the FG signal enables direct RPM calculation (RPM = FG frequency × 60 ÷ pole number). A potentiometer with cable is provided for manual speed adjustment. Thermal management requires only ventilation below 5A; above that, forced cooling is mandatory. Integrated protections include reverse-polarity, overcurrent, and stall detection—proven in applications ranging from medical ventilator blowers to electric curtain drives and underwater propulsion systems.
