16 Input 16 Output Modbus RTU Expansion

A versatile, DIN-mountable IO expansion solution supporting DC 6.5–30V power input (12V/24V compatible) and consuming only 8–50mA. Features 16 opto-isolated NPN active-low digital inputs and 16 ULN2803-based Darlington outputs, each rated for 300mA continuous load. Implements full Modbus RTU protocol with function codes 03 (read holding registers), 06 (write single register), and selective support for function code 16 (write multiple registers). Six output control modes — Open, Close, Instant, Self-locking, Interlocking, Delay (0–255s) — provide granular behaviour tuning. Enables cross-board remote triggering: 16 inputs can control 16 outputs on another identical module via RS485. Supports up to 64 devices on one bus. Baud rate configurable via jumper (2400–19200 bps). Supplied in VO-rated UM72 DIN rail housing (72mm width, fits 100mm PCB), compliant with DIN35 and C45 standards.
