130mm Flexible Oud Plectrum Set

Five celluloid-style picks, each sized precisely at 130 × 11 × 0.1 mm (5.12 × 0.43 × 0.004 in), constructed from durable ABS material. Individual pick weight is approximately 3.2 g; total set weight is 16 g (0.56 oz), packed in a 16 × 4 × 3 cm (6.30 × 1.57 × 1.18 in) box weighing 17 g (0.60 oz). All picks feature mirror-like polish, fully rounded edges, and subtle anti-slip texture. Designed for oud, yueqin, liu-qin, ruan, and similar traditional lutes requiring thin, responsive plectra. Their ultra-slim profile allows for effortless string penetration and quick release — ideal for fast maqam improvisations or delicate Chinese pentatonic melodies. The polished surface minimises friction-induced squeak, while the rounded tip prevents accidental string damage or fretboard scratches. The material retains flexibility across temperature variations typical in UK rehearsal rooms or touring environments. Commonly selected by educators for beginner oud classes in London and Birmingham due to their forgiving playability and low learning curve — helping new players develop correct stroke angle and finger placement before progressing to stiffer alternatives.
