Validated for HoMedics UHE-CM65, UHE-WM70, UHE-OC1, UHE-CM45B, UHE-CM25, UHE-WM16, UHE-OW14, UHE-WM85 — and widely compatible with Vicks, LEVOIT, Honeywell and Homasy ultrasonic models meeting the tank-size requirement. Removes hardness-causing minerals from tap water via ion exchange before ultrasonic misting begins — preventing airborne white dust containing calcium, lime and magnesium. Reduces scaling inside the tank and on the transducer, supporting sustained mist volume and quieter operation over time. Engineered for UK water conditions. Installs in seconds: drop one cartridge upright into the water chamber. Replace after 30–40 full tank refills — a usage-based metric aligned with typical UK household humidifier patterns and regional hardness variations.
