1000VDC 40KA PV Surge Protector

This DC surge protector is designed specifically for photovoltaic power systems, with a maximum continuous operating voltage (Uc) of 1000VDC and a nominal discharge current (In) of 20kA (8/20μs), capable of withstanding up to 40kA (8/20μs) peak surge current. It features a compact modular design for mounting on standard 35mm DIN rails, weighs approximately 0.35kg, and measures 90 × 70 × 65 mm (L × W × H). The housing is constructed from fireproof, high flame-retardant polycarbonate (PC) material, offering mechanical durability and thermal stability. With an IP20 protection rating, it delivers low residual voltage (≤3.8kV), minimal leakage current, and fast response time. A built-in visual status indicator window shows operational state via colour change, supported by gap-type discharge electrodes. Integrated protections include overcurrent, overheating, temperature control, and short-circuit safeguarding.
